 Notification of Acceptance of Films:

All filmmakers will be notified by JULY 2010 as to whether their film has been accepted as part of the 2010 Festival Program.

 Submissions:

In extenuating circumstances, the deadline can be extended. Please contact the Festival Directors at directors@svspiritualfilmfestival.org, to discuss deadline extensions.

We require 2 NTSC format DVD's of the film submitted. VHS Tapes can be accepted in extenuating circumstances.

All films submitted are required to explore their particular theme in spirituality with intellectual honesty, and respect, and in a constructive manner that does not attack or degrade the belief system of any other spiritual tradition or institution.

A check or money order can be made out to "Sun Valley Spiritual Film Festival."

The Festival will offer an Award for each of the following categories:

Best Spiritual Feature Film
Best Spiritual Documentry
Best Spiritual Short Film
Audience Choice Award

 Spiritual Films - Defined

A spiritual film or documentary is defined as one that cherishes the human spirit, and / or, explores one or more spiritual traditions from around the world.

Other than these preliminary guidelines, each film maker will be free to decide how they want to interpret the term "spirituality" in their film.

 Films - Formats and Genres

Feature films, documentaries, shorts and animations may all be submitted to the Festival to be reviewed by our screening committee. The genres can be comedies, dramas, thrillers, documentaries, etc.

The festival will screen films in Digibeta, Beta SP, DVD, and 35mm (on a limited basis) formats.
